For Over 20 Years....
Flags have been given away in hometown parades and yards of homes on the 4th of July.
It's Been a Group Effort of Many People within our Local Community...
American Associates staff and Realtors, local church youth groups, AYSO, Band Boosters, Boyscouts, Girlscouts, community baseball and softball leagues and a number of other youth groups and kids from various organizations have helped place flags in the yards of community residents.
We started with less than 600 flags placed in yards which eventually grew to an annual 40,000 Flags distributed yearly in parades and placed in yards in local communities.
40,000 Flags Annually...
Through the help of literally hundreds of people who volunteered their time and effort, over 500,000 flags have been given away, in local hometown parades and placed in the yards of homes in just about every major subdivision across west Genesee County.
In 2008, due to the difficult economy the entire flag project ceased. In the future we may reconsider bringing back the Flag project.
As of July 4th, 2007 American Associates, Inc. Realtors, Local Business Owners and all of the many hundreds of volunteers through out the years together have given away over 500,000 flags to local residents.
